Theme: New Challenges for Sustainable Drinking Water Services

     This exhibition is organized as part of the 8th International Symposium on Water Supply Technology, which has been held on a triennial basis to facilitate further development of water supply technologies and networking among those who work in relation to water services.

     In light of the numerous challenges facing the water service industry today, the 8th Symposium focuses on the theme “New Challenges for Sustainable Drinking Water Services” to promote new technologies for enhancing resistance to earthquakes, and eco-friendly features of water supply facilities that can also meet the public need for safer and tastier water.

     This exhibition is designed to provide water service businesses and organizations with opportunities to present their advanced technologies and innovations on the occasion of the Symposium. We wish to invite as many participants as possible, so as to make the exhibition the most successful and fruitful thus far. Businesses and organizations are welcome to participate. We are now accepting entries. Please take part in the event for international presentation opportunities!

Micro-waterpower generation, photovoltaic power generation, wind power generation, shallow depth pipe-laying, and recycling of dregs generated in water purification process

Other
Advanced water-related technology (deterioration detection by robots), issues relating to water businesses, asset management, quake-resistant design, reinforcement technology to improve quake resistance, methods for assessing quake resistance, and deterioration inspection methods

Exhibition booth fee, per booth (3 m × 3 m)

	* Members: Japan Water Research Center members
	* Electricity fee, main electricity cable construction costs, telecommunication fee and other expenses of booth operation must be borne by exhibitors.
	* Internet cable is optional.

Entry deadline

Entry must be received by the administrative staff
no later than December 26 (Fri) .

Participation fee payment and contract

On receipt of the entry form, the administrative staff will send a participation fee invoice to the applicant, requesting participation fee remittance to the designated bank account no later than the date indicated. (Remittance fee must be borne by the applicant.)
Please note that entry request may be canceled if the payment is not received by the indicated date. Participation contract is deemed concluded when the entry sheet has been submitted and the participation fee has been paid by the applicant. The applicant’s entry sheet will then be deemed a contract.

Cancellation

In principle, entry cannot be cancelled after the entry sheet has been received by administration staff. However, for reasons deemed by the organizer to be reasonable, applicants can cancel their entry with payment of the cancellation fee as detailed below.
	December 1, 2008 to May 8, 2009	50% of booth fee
	May 9, 2009 or later	100% of booth fee

Booth arrangement

	♦	Booth arrangement will be decided by the organizer. No objections can be accepted regarding the arrangement.
	♦	The organizer will do their utmost to protect and manage exhibits at the exhibition site, though the organizer shall not be liable for compensation of loss or damage caused by fire, theft, loss, breakage or other accident.
	♦	It is recommended that participants have their exhibits insured against accident.

Manual / briefing session for exhibitors

A briefing session will be held in late January 2009, at which the exhibition manual will be distributed.

Disclaimer

	♦	If circumstances arise that are beyond the control of the organizer, the exhibition may be postponed or canceled.
	♦	In the event of cancellation, all or some of the fees paid to the organizer will be refunded. However, the organizer will not be liable for other costs incurred by exhibitors.
